Today is the 3rd annual National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. American Indians and Alaskan Natives have the 3rd highest diagnosis of HIV/AIDS. This is an important day to raise awareness about the impact and HIV/AIDS on Native people and in the community.

Caution Play and Frybread Taco Sale at American Indian Health and Family Services in Detroit from 6-8 pm tonight! This is a special performance by the teens of the Matrix Theater Company. This play is designed to reduce stigma and create and open, safe space to discuss HIV/AIDS. I am going to be there. So, I hope to see you there! I would link up the event but the website for AIHFS is down for maintenance.

In the Detroit area you can call Affirmations to find out where you can get tested and receive support services!
